if you are gonna make a space war ship IT MUST BE CHUNKY i don't like those sleek curvy things some folk make they look to much like some kinda space farrari:( if its alien fine but if your human and your going to war in space you must be CHUNKY! :)

One mans opinion. The model represents the artists interpretation of the future of space warfare and therefore is represented as he sees fit, be it slow, bulky warships hammering away at each other with massively powerful weapons, or quick, sleek star-fighters dog-fighting against a planetary backdrop

true, aesthetics isnt really totaly divorced from military design though as intimidation value is even in this day a valid consideration... angular shapes tend to be more imposeing while curves and sweeping forms tend to be more pleaseing to the eye... i just like chunky angular ships but if it was something owned by some one rich who wanted more of sleek butiful shape than something that looked like it was a second cousin to battle tank i can see it being built... this remains valid until construction methodology comes into mind, if you make your ships out of metal, plastics and ceramics you know what to expect... if your ships be made out of flesh blood and bone take the old rule book and throw it out of the window, which do you think will be more likely travelling space in metal ships like what you see in star wars
biomechanical vessels like in prometheus where the entire ship is a blur of things which appear mechanical but also appear to have grown be it gentic manipulation or nanotech ?

You need to use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. It will help you get your point across much more clearly.

From what I could gather from your paragraph, you seem to be saying that angular, chunky designs have an imposing nature, whereas sweeping curves have more of an aesthetic appeal. Although following this line of thought is certainly helpful and the norm, one can make a model that is both sleek and imposing, or angular and appealing.
In the end, it is up to the artist or his commissioner to decide what the model should look like an what it should convey.

Ну туторов думаю в сети навалом. Что построение через 3D, что в ручную. Ну вручную там всё стандартно - основные законы. Ну а вообще тут больше знания тех дизайна нужны. А оно вроде с опытом приходи т:)
